Ravenwood Hall Hotel and Restaurant is a magnificent privately owned 14 bedroom country house hotel with an excellent reputation for fine dining and relaxing accommodation in a historic and cosy atmosphere. We are one of the most established hotels in the area especially renowned as wedding venue. Situated just 3 miles from the market town of Bury St Edmunds, the Hall is a popular venue for business, leisure breaks and diners and this is our 24th year of trading.
The hotel is part of a small but expanding privately owned group of two hotels both in Suffolk .The owner has 30 years of experience of experience and has a very hands on approach to his businesses. The group consists of the 3 star Tudor, country house hotel with a two rosette award for dining in Bury St Edmunds and The 10 bedroom, 3 star Georgian Hotel in Long Melford.
The General manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the day to day running of one of our hotels. The successful candidate will be passionate about hospitality and dedicated to achieving the highest standards of service excellence across all departments within the hotel. You will be responsible for motivating the team and lead by example. You will be responsible for managing all hotel operations and ensuring standards are met with a keen eye for detail. Through training and developing your staff you will be able to communicate and instil the highest of standards of service which has been this hotel's key to success.
The successful candidate will have operational and managerial experience from a quality hospitality environment. With exceptional communications and organisational skills you will be capable of communicating and delegating effectively with a good commercial acumen. You will be a motivated self starter with a "hands on" approach capable of hitting the ground running.

Part Time receptionist
What we want:
As the hotels first point of contact with customers, we are looking for a customer friendly, enthusiastic person to join our excellent team.
Role Description: The main role within reception is taking hotel bookings on our computerised booking system/maintaining the restaurant diary/cashing up/general administration along with assisting in the hotel at busy periods.
Required Experience: Some knowledge of hotel work would be an advantage but not essential. Must be prepared to work at weekends Mature applicants very welcome.

What we want:
We are looking for a highly skilled motivational Head Chef who is looking to achieve his 3rd rosette, we are striving to achieve 3 rosettes in the fine dining restaurant and maintain the strong 2 rosettes we have for the informal garden room. An emphasis on the skilful use of seasonal & local produce and an understanding of the successful repeat business we have built over the years is essential
We are looking for a morning cleaner to show loving care to our beautiful hotel and to have it sparkling ready for our guests.
3 hours a day 7am -10am Monday - Friday

We require a good all round maintenance person to work as part of a small team to ensure the smooth running of our hotel. The position is for 30-35 hours over a five day period.
To deal with maintenance in all areas of the hotel from the kitchen, bedrooms, front of house and function room. To work unsupervised and to support both the staff and customers when necessary
The overall requirements include carpentry, plumbing, tiling, electrical, repair work and knowledge of health and safety is a bonus.

Waitress, Waiter, Bar Person
What we want:
We require Waiting and Bar staff who are smart,enthusiastic and courteous to work in our Edwardian Pavilion which is a very popular venue for weddings, Christmas parties, conferences and functions throughout the year.
You will be required to set tables, polish cutlery, serve guests and clear away. The Bar person would assist in general with the function and serve behind the bar mostly in the evenings. We work as a friendly team and this is a beautiful environment to work in. Required Experience

Assistant Duty Manager
What we want:
We are seeking an experienced assistant duty manager to join our professional and successful team. This position offers the very real chance to progress to a more senior role once you have proven yourself. An enthusiastic and highly motivated person with the ability to be a part of our dedicated team and promote our business forward by being totally customer focused.
You will play a pivotal role in the smooth running of the restaurant/bar and ensure good liaison with the kitchen. The ideal candidate will need the necessary experience and knowledge to control a busy service in this food orientated hotel. A knowledge of stock control would be an advantage but not essential.

Senior Chef de Partie
What we want
We are looking for an experienced Chef de Partie who feels they are ready to develop and thrive within a successful 2 rosette restaurant. They must be ambitious with a flair for food as this company are moving forward and are totally food focused. We have two rosettes and are striving to reach our goal of three with you help.
You will be supporting our head chef and sous chef with the day to day running of the kitchen and working together as a team.
Required Experience At least two years experience in a quality establishment, dealing with fresh produce. And a knowledge of a two-rosette restaurant
