The popular Bar area: This is often the place to overhear a few racing tips as guests discuss the next days betting at Newmarket races. The atmosphere is intimate and cosy with log fires burning in the winter and champagne kept on ice for those relaxing summer days.

The Daily changing blackboards feature seasonal delicacies such as rump of lamb in the spring, locally grown asparagus, freshly picked English strawberries, samphire and Cromer crabs in the summer to game from the Rougham estate in the Autumn and goose, chestnuts and cranberries in the winter. With home preserved fruits and vegetables, and with meats and fish smoked on the premises our head chef uses the abundant seasonal foods, locally produced with flair and imagination. Private dining is available with a hire charge .

Fine Dining in the Historic Tudor Restaurant

The heavily beamed restaurant with its huge inglenook fireplace, crisp linen and soft candlelight is the ideal setting for that celebratory meal when somewhere special is called for. Ravenwood is synonymous with special occasions be it Birthdays when chefs special Baked Alaska is required or an anniversary dinner when a red rose or bottle of champagne sets the scene …we can personalize your meal.
The award of 2 rosettes for dining is an indication of the dedication our chefs have to supplying such a high standard of food and service .
